The Old Bus

The Old Bus is a 1934 Australian documentary film about aviator Sir Charles KingsfordSmith.

The film was produced by Jack Percival, who was passenger on a flight KingsfordSmith made from Australian to New Zealand in January 1933. They flew on The Southern Cross, nicknamed The Old Bus.Plans to make a documentary about Kingsford Smith were announced in August 1933. The project soon expanded to be a history of Australian aviation. KingsfordSmith shot footage of it all around the world. Shooting commenced around November 1933 and was completed by July 1934. ........
